The vinyl release features L.A.B.'s smash hit ‘In The Air’ which appears on L.A.B’s album 'L.A.B. III' and showcases the softer, more melodic side of the album, with vocalist Joel Shadbolt combining smooth guitars and keys alongside guest vocalist Lisa Tomlins. The track, originally released in early 2020, was the most played song on ALL New Zealand radio in 2020 and was the first independent local release to reach number one on the main chart since Flight Of The Conchords' 'Feel Inside (And Stuff Like That)' in 2012, and the first overall since Lorde's 'Green Light' in 2017. The song spent three weeks at Number 1 on the NZ Official Top 40 Singles Chart and has reached three-times Platinum status, while garnering over 22 million streams on Spotify & over 2 million streams on Apple Music.

Ria Hall's contribution "Owner" first appeared on her 2020 album, 'Manawa Wera.' Inspired by classic reggae & soul records of the 1970’s such as Third World & Jimmy Cliff, Manawa Wera presents a classic reggae sound in a modern New Zealand context. The album is influenced not only by the personal journey Hall has been on since the release of 2017’s 'Rules of Engagement', but also the current political climate across the globe. Moving effortlessly across soul, reggae & funk sounds, Manawa Wera puts the stunning voice and award-winning lyrics of Hall front and centre at all times.

L.A.B’s groove blends an eclectic mix of reggae, electronic, blues, funk and rock - all combining to create a sound entirely their own. Formed by drummer & producer Brad Kora, L.A.B comprises his brother Stu Kora, Ara Adams-Tamatea, Miharo Gregory & frontman Joel Shadbolt. L.A.B released their debut album in 2017, releasing a new album every year since.

L.A.B made their name on the live stages of New Zealand and won Radio New Zealand’s publicly-voted Best Live Act of 2019, with this reputation seeing them play to over 200,000 people that year. Their fourth album,

L.A.B IV in 2020 debuted at Number One on the Official Album Charts, while single ‘Why Oh Why’ reached Number One on the Official Top 40 Singles Chart. Their hit single ‘In The Air’ peaked at Number One in 2020, and has remained in the charts ever since. L.A.B’s success story continues - selling-out arenas and stadiums, dominating the charts, and being awarded People's Choice and Best Roots Artist at the 2020 Aotearoa Music Awards.

2021 has seen L.A.B headline festivals across New Zealand and perform five massive headline shows at the iconic Bowl of Brooklands, Mt Smart Stadium, Claudelands Arena and two shows at TSB Arena - with all five shows selling out to a total audience of over 50,000.

Demand is high for L.A.B in Australia. Their headline tour of Australia has sold over 20,000 tickets and has been postponed multiple times since the original dates in 2019 due to the pandemic. The latest postponement has seen L.A.B push their Australian tour to April 2022 with multiple sold out dates in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Fremantle and new shows soon to be announced for Melbourne and Sydney.

L.A.B continue to assert themselves as one of NZ’s hardest-working acts, with no signs of slowing down. Late-2021 will see the release of their fifth studio album, supported by three large outdoor New Zealand shows in January 2022, including Auckland’s iconic Western Springs Stadium and five sold out Australian shows in April 2022.

With the release of her debut self-titled EP, Ria Hall became a blazing new female force on the NZ music scene. Winning awards and critical acclaim, her sound fused furious hip hop beats and richly layered vocals in English and Te Reo Māori, creating an epic soundscape that embraced and challenged multiple genres.

Ria is in the throes of creating new music with an urban yet distinctively Māori flare. 2017 saw the release of Ria's long-awaited debut album, again combining English and Te Reo Māori to create a piece of work that both challenged genres and showcased an incredible artist.

Her new album, Manawa Wera, was written and co-produced with Laughton Kora, the album is inspired by current political, social and racial climate, one that musically brings together elements of classic reggae and soul.

She is a powerful live performer, crafting an experience that showcases her enormous vocal range and ability to effortlessly transition between styles. Ria Hall is a fearless female artist with resolute ideas for the future of New Zealand music: “there is so much richness that New Zealand music can take to the world. We haven’t realised our own potential - and that’s exciting”.
